What is NLP?

This Month's Audio Special:

NLP Leicester is dedicated to delivering high quality training in the UK - and 1-2-1 NLP Coaching to clients all over the world. For anyone new to this field who wants to understand more, it can often be a challenge to find the right information.

The two original co-developers of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) have described it as the following:

Richard Bandler:

"...the study of the structure of subjective experience."

John Grinder:

"... a means to investigate and replicate extreme human excellence."

The term NLP describes both the specific approach to modelling that Bandler and Grinder used and the powerful models of communication and change they created together (and have continued to develop with other people).

A way of looking at one aspect of NLP might be to view it as a way of re-programming the structure - or process - of thinking and/or behaviour, not simply the content.

When only the content of a problem, for example, is changed, its structure - or process - might continue to manifest in other ways.

When the structure of the problem is re-programmed, or re-organized, you are far more likely to experience a complete transformation in behaviour and thinking, both now and into the continuing future.

"It always seems impossible until it's done."
